I've said it to you before, Hunter -- I have never liked the word "can't."

My entire career, I've faced those who told me "You can't do that" -- "that" covering a variety of things, including winning my first race for San Francisco District Attorney, standing up to the big banks for homeowners, and combating chronic truancy in schools.

Turned out, I could do those things. But I didn't do any of them alone.

I can only win this race with your help. Your support is what fuels all our efforts -- including (and right now, especially) our Get Out the Vote (GOTV) plans for the primary and general elections. That's why it's so important we reach this $25,000 goal before the polls close on Tuesday.

As much as I don't like anyone telling me I can't do something -- I like it even less when it's directed at Californians.

No child should be told they can't get a high-quality public education because of where they live or how much money their parents make. No women should be told she can't make her own medical decisions. No hard-working American should be in a position where they can't support their family even though they work a full-time job at minimum wage.

America is a country built on "can." I chose to devote my career to fight for justice, especially to stand up for the most vulnerable and voiceless of our fellow Californians.

Hunter -- I know you're committed to that, too. And today, I'm asking you to help us bring our grassroots campaign to the next level.
