<p style="margin-top: 0px;margin-bottom: 1em"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is hard to believe that the 2015-16 Academic year is about to draw to a close. We are now down to the final week of school. Students in grades 9 through 11 still have exams to study for, but the light at the end of the tunnel couldn’t be brighter! </span></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px;margin-bottom: 1em"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">This Friday is Commencement, when we celebrate all of the achievements of our seniors. It will be a bittersweet day, as we honor our graduates and say farewell. Congratulations to all our seniors and their parents!</span></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px;margin-bottom: 1em"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Parents often ask what students should do over the summer months to keep their minds active and engaged. The upper school does not have required summer reading or other standard, required summer academic work. Students who would like suggestions for summer reading should reach out to their English and History teachers as well as the Upper School Librarian, Matt Geeza. Students interested in working on some math problems over the summer should reach out to their current math teachers or the Math Department Head. Language teachers can offer tips on how to stay engaged with language learning over the summer months as well, so students should speak to their language teachers for suggestions on staying on top of their language studies. But most important, I encourage students to relax and to enjoy their free time with family and friends. </span></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px;margin-bottom: 1em"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Over the summer months, Michael Woods, Min Kim, and I will be on campus, preparing for the 2016-17 academic year. Please feel free to reach out to any of us if you have any questions about planning for next year. 2016-17 academic schedules will be posted in late July. Min Kim will send you an email notifying you when schedules are ready to be viewed. Textbook information will also be provided at that time.
