While there, I also encouraged 33 other districts in Allegheny County to claim more than $89,000 that is owed to them. </span></font></p>

<p>School districts in Allegheny County are not alone. Treasury holds at least $540,000 that is owed to public schools and school districts across the state. At a time of diminished state funds and stretched budgets, these funds will not fill budget gaps entirely, but every dollar counts, so it will provide a small measure of assistance. </p>
<p>You can help in this reunification effort. Visit <a href="http://t.lt02.net/q/AOJMNH9fSRbGuC5mJ-jU3gA7-xSlHrkfHOYrXbRB_lOLoS2GZp2ReMJZO">www.patreasury.gov</a> to search for the name of your school or school district. While there, please be sure to also search for your name and the names of your family, friends and neighbors. You can also call Treasury’s Unclaimed Property Return Team at 1-800-222-2046, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. </p>
<p>Treasury has about $1.8 billion in property to be claimed. Some of it could belong to you, so please take a moment to search our database. The McCord Treasury wants to help put your money back in your wallet. </p>
