CELEBRATE #20YrsInspired
On June 7th, Inspired Teachers and Inspired students presented action research,
shared their experiences interning at DC historic sites, and facilitated inquiry-based

hard work and dedication, these Fellows will begin next school year as DC educators,
contributing to the Inspired Teaching community by creating positive classroom climates

students used their theatrical skills and knowledge of local history during a performance

on June 14th. The two students began their work on the Freedom Annex - an alternative
school started by Eastern High School students in the 1960s - back in February and
placed second in the "group performance" category at the city-wide competition.
This week, they gave their final performance at the national level, competing with
students from around the United States, as well as a few foreign countries. Congratulations
on your hard work and dedication!

with Ford's Theatre. In school year 2015-16, Ford's Theatre served as an internship
site for high school students enrolled in Real World History.
As a historical site, working theatre, and museum, Ford's Theatre is an ideal location
for an internship, as students have the opportunity to explore sharing history with
the public on a variety of levels.
