Tiger Woods' five victories at the Memorial are the most in tournament history. Remarkably, he is a collective 111-under-par in his 13-career starts at the tournament. Woods collected $1,116,000 on Sunday. Ohio has been good to him, as his five victories at the Memorial have paid him a total of $3,879,000. As mentioned he's played the event 13 times and never missed a cut earning more than $5 million. IT'S A NUMBERS GAME If you wonder why Woods gets so much attention, consider CBS Sports' ratings for Sunday at the Memorial which was up 138 percent from last year, the network reported. It was the highest rating for the tournament's final round in eight years. The rating peaked during the final half hour of the tournament. The last time the event drew similar ratings was in 2004 when Ernie Els won shooting a final-round 66 to beat runner-up Fred Couples by four and Woods, who finished third, by six. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR! No player has won a PGA TOUR event and gone on to win the U.S. Open the following week. A total of eight players have won a PGA TOUR event and gone on to win a major championship the following week. It was accomplished most recently by none other than you know who, Tiger Woods in 2007. He won the WGC Bridgestone Championship and then followed up with the PGA Championship. OLD MAN PAR The TPC at Southwind became home of the FedEx St. Jude Classic in 1989 and this par-70 track currently plays to a length of 7,244 yards with a course rating of 75.9 and 138 slope. If players are looking for some let up this week during the St. Jude, there won't be much at Southwind as 14 of the 18 holes played over par last year. TPC Southwind was ranked as the ninth hardest course on the 2011 PGA TOUR, playing to a stroke average of 70.987. The 54-hole leader/co-leader has gone on to victory only nine times in 23 years. Therefore any lead may not be safe on Sunday as old man par looks to exact some revenge. SOMEONE TO KEEP AN EYE ON There are horses for courses and one player in particular seems to stand out at the TPC Southwind. Robert Karlsson posted four rounds in the 60s for the second-consecutive year in 2011 en route to falling to Harrison Frazar in a playoff. In eight rounds at TPC Southwind, Karlsson is a combined 23-under-par, with his highest score a 69 in the final round in 2010. Of the players in the field for the FedEx St. Jude Classic with a minimum of eight rounds at TPC Southwind, the Swede has the lowest stroke average at 67.12 (8 rounds). Following Karlsson are Robert Allenby at 68.76 (30 Rounds), Bob Estes at 69.29 (82 Rounds) and Golf Logix' Zach Johnson at 69.25 (12 Rounds). Meanwhile, world #1 Rory McIlroy is hoping to find some form ahead of his defense of the US Open.
