Dear Parents, The situation on 37th Street, especially in the afternoons, has again deteriorated. If you use 37th St for drop-off in the morning or pick-up in the afternoon, or if a family member or employee uses that route, please give your attention to these important reminders: In the morning, please pull all the way forward - to the tree at the end of the ramp on the south end. You cannot see the line stretching up the block, but stopping right in front of the school holds everyone up. In the afternoon, drivers should not arrive at 37th Street any earlier than 3:30. Some cars are arriving 15-20 minutes early and sitting. This does not leave the street clear for Hearst dismissal and then creates a mess when their buses cannot clear the street. No U-turns on 37th Street in our block, and especially not in the Hearst driveway, during drop-off and pick-up. Construction has begun at Hearst, leaving them with very limited parking in their lot. I would prefer that all drop-off and pick-up activity be done on the SFS side of the street. However, if you use the Hearst side, I must insist that students cross 37th St only at the crosswalk at Tilden Street, not in the middle of the block. The terrible traffic snarls that have occurred several times in the last two weeks create a very unpleasant - and dangerous - situation. These difficulties also anger our neighbors. I am doing everything that I can to keep things moving, but I need the help of everyone who uses this side of the campus to make it work. Thank you - Sally Selby
