Hi folks,
Hallie asked me to look in to a few travel options for Asheville next week. There are no direct flights from Philly, BWI or the DC airports.

Option 1:
Drive. It’s a 9 hour drive from Wilmington and if Beau were to stop in DC to pick up Hunter, that would add some time to the 9 hours. One thought would be for Beau to drive down to DC Saturday night, to break up the drive a bit. DC to Asheville is 7 hours. However, the traffic around Blacksburg is always bad, especially on a Sunday when students are returning for the week.

Option 2:
Fly to Asheville, through Charlotte.
The connecting flights from Charlotte to Asheville are tight, and on the return trip, the flights are just terrible (and expensive)

Option 3:
Fly BWI - Charlotte, drive Charlotte to Asheville.

Two possibilities here:
Sunday, depart BWI at 1:45 pm, arrive Charlotte 3:15 pm. Depart Charlotte (via SS car) 3:45, arrive Asheville 6:00 pm
Tuesday, depart Asheville 5:00 pm, arrive Charlotte 7:15 pm. Depart Charlotte at 8:05 pm, arrive BWI 9:24 pm
This flight is $387

OR

Sunday Depart BWI 3:40 pm, arrive Charlotte 5:08 pm. Depart Charlotte (via SS car) 5:30, arrive Asheville 7:45 pm
Tuesday, depart Asheville 5:00 pm, arrive Charlotte 7:15 pm. Depart Charlotte at 8:05 pm, arrive BWI 9:24 pm
This flight is also $387
