Hunter - Tuesday was a tough night for progressives, no doubt about it. But it is important to note that progressive veterans scored big victories in difficult races across the country. It proves what we have always believed -- that veterans offer a unique perspective and are extremely strong messengers for a progressive platform. Overall, 9 of the 15 progressive veterans VoteVets backed in House and Senate races won on Tuesday, including four we supported early in a competitive primary process. That means veterans like Seth Moulton, Mark Takai, Ted Lieu, and Ruben Gallego will join Tammy Duckworth and Tulsi Gabbard as a new generation of leadership the House. And, of course, Congressman Gary Peters earned a promotion to the U.S. Senate. Over the past two years, more than 200,000 new veterans, military family members and VoteVets supporters signed on to join us. We received almost 30,000 individual contributions and generated hundreds of thousands of letters to Congress on issues like VA care, Syrian intervention, and protecting jobs in Bristol Bay. You are the reason VoteVets is the largest progressive veterans organization in the country. Thank you, Jon Soltz Iraq War Veteran and Chairman VoteVets http://action.votevets.org/unsubscribe Paid for by VoteVets Political Action Committee Not Authorized by Any Candidate or Candidate's Committee
