HI Hunter and Finny!

As fall tournaments approach- I just wanted to offer some helpful tips for recruiting. I know this whole recruiting process can be overwhelming and I do not mean to add any pressure, I just hope I can simplify it a little bit for you. Your big Fall Tournament is next weekend - Mid Atlantic Showcase. Both Yale and Penn will be there in addition to over 200 schools. It is important to write to any coaches you might have the slightest interest in. This letter is purely for introductory purposes and to put Finny on their radar. It is also helpful to fill out coaches' recruiting questionnaires- it simply enters Finny in their system so they can easily find her and keep notes to refer back to. I have started you off with some information on Penn and Yale - which I know are two schools Finnegan is interested in. Take some time to look at the Rosters, Schedule, etc and get to know each program a little bit- that way you can talk about it if/when you speak to the coach!

Hopefully this helps to get you going. Finny- I know it seems like a lot and overwhelming but if you take a chunk of time to go through this now - it will get much easier as you go along. I am always here to help so please let me know if you have any questions!! -Anne Marie

Dear Coach Corbett,

I would like to take a moment of your time to introduce myself. My name is Finnegan Biden and I’m in my sophomore year at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC. I have followed your program and have been inspired by the high energy and passion your team always shows on the field. Congratulations on your 8th Consecutive Ivy League Championship last season!

I am writing because of my strong desire to play for you on Penn’s lacrosse team. As I mentioned before, I am a sophomore ([insert height & weight]) and play midfield and defense for Sidwell Friends School. Last year, I earned a starting position on our varsity team as a freshman.
