They have their hands quite full and I am not pushing for the meetings to happen. However, if possible could we meet with Steven Gardner for the purposes of understanding Amtrak’s direction and priorities on the Gateway Project, Sawtooth Bridge, Portal Bridge and other priority infrastructure projects / programs on the NEC. I continue to meet with my contacts at 30th street , however there is some clear definition I feel is missing from information being shared. I do plan to attend the Transportation Symposium where Steven will be speaking in Newark in the not too distant future FYI. No big rush, but I am interested in triangulating what am hearing, what we read about in rail news articles and what he sees as the direction and priorities. I also believe HNTB can help Amtrak around project management training for their people and projects from a rail perspective and from a culture perspective.
