Dear Michael:


It is with a great deal of bittersweet sentiment that I inform you that I
must resign from the board of directors of the Truman National Security
Project. As I've noted in our conversations, my business time commitments
have risen to a level where I find it difficult to also meet my TNSP
responsibilities. If I'm going to do something, I'd prefer to do it at a
high level of performance and over the last few years I've found that harder
and harder to achieve as far as TNSP is concerned.


It has been a great privilege to be part of the growth and evolution of
Truman over the last 11 years. I continue to believe that Truman is
undertaking an extremely important mission and it has been fun interacting
with some of the best and most energetic minds in the national security
community.


As I noted, I'd like to remain a part of the family and supportive of the
mission.
