Gary’s been living with ALS for the last year. This disease is relentless. His once impressive athletic moves eventually gave way to a walker and then finally to a wheelchair.

No doubt about it - times can be tough. But, the Marjorie Shimer Durable Medical Equipment Program and Accessibility Program help Gary maintain his independence.
Thanks to the amazing wheelchair and ramp provided by these ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter programs, Gary cannot only maneuver inside, but he can get out of the house! Just last week he was able to travel through the halls of the Pennsylvania State Capitol to advocate for ALS funding.
