In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Artist Studios program (https://madmuseum.org/learn/summer-studio-residency-cynthia-alberto-and-weaving-hand) , MAD has invited back one of its first artists-in-residence, Cynthia Alberto (https://madmuseum.org/learn/summer-studio-residency-cynthia-alberto-and-weaving-hand) , for a special summer residency where the artist is welcoming visitors to participate in weaving projects and experience techno-fueled dance performances.

Cynthia Alberto presents Techno-Love Series (https://www.madmuseum.org/events/techno-love-series) , an interactive audiovisual exhibit that activates thirty of her woven, wearable "cocoons." The program begins with a twenty-minute performance featuring thirty dancers, emphasizing the inclusive, communal nature of Alberto's work. Inspired by the euphoria induced by connecting through music, the shamanic techno-fueled dance routine is a ritual of healing and emotional release.
