Hi folks, In light of the national attention we’ll be getting with the Special Olympics partnership, Patty and I reached out to a handful of folks to discuss revamping our website. While the simplicity of our site is nice, it’s not conducive to telling the story of the importance of the work we do. For example, right now, we have no way to show a video on the home page or have a scrolling social feed. We really enjoyed the work of Kodiak Starr. Kody was Creative Director of Digital Strategy at the White House and (among other things), worked on the Joe Biden Foundation’s site. You can see some of his work here: http://kodiakstarr.com/ <http://kodiakstarr.com/> He put together a proposal, broken out in to individual pages/templates for us: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Fh7fOSVMTcvMLOSDpbNE9Lhcws4z06mnq9QVr_pjyzA/edit <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Fh7fOSVMTcvMLOSDpbNE9Lhcws4z06mnq9QVr_pjyzA/edit> This tracks with what our current digital consulting firm proposed for the home page redesign. The nice thing about Kody’s proposal is that we can do this in phases - start with the home page, the mission page and the pillars page ($6,900) and then, later this year or next, build out the remaining templates/pages. Because this is a purely BBF thing, I don’t think we can write it in to the SO budget. Let me know your thoughts.
