Thank you very much for making time in your busy schedule to attend my son
Peter's service on Friday. Over these last two weeks - among the
unbearable grief - I've drawn strength from many dear friends like you.
But I've also drawn inspiration from the example you and your father have
shown in the face of similar - but sadly even greater - tragedies. Your
grace and resolve to continue facing each day is sustaining me.

Again, I am deeply grateful for your kind display of humanity for me and my
family and will never forget it.

I look forward to seeing you soon in the happier days ahead. Ideally, on a
golf course.
