FYI, I just talked to Michele and we got our initial allocations for Inauguration and they aren't good. You know the process well enough that we'll likely end up getting more, but apparently the events are so scaled back this year that the initial numbers were much lower than Michele thought. I am not not horribly worried about "our" list - there is room to scale back I am sure. A number of the names in the "tier two and three" category that we submitted were "if we have enough it would be nice to invite them" types that haven't even really requested a ticket or aren't really expecting one or they are people who requested them that we said, "well, we'll put it down but don't count on anything."

For the ball, Michele said that if people are willing to buy tickets we may be able to accommodate them (VIP tix are $150, regular tix are $60) - it is the comped ones we are having trouble with.

Nothing to do now. I feel like Michele/Sheila/your Dad are going to be able to get more out of the PIC and this is just the first round of stinginess but just a caution as you are talking to people (even though I know this is the last thing you want to talk to people about).
