From Your Sr Class Reps - January 2019 - REMINDERS ** Sr. Celebration - Sign Up by Feb 1** ** Sr Yearbook Ads - Due Feb 1** ** MLK Day of Service - TOMORROW ** Don't miss Senior Celebration sign ups and parent recognition year book ad deadlines - Feb 1! MLK Day of Service tomorrow too! 1. *SFS Senior Celebration 2019 – Calling all Senior Parents – Sign-ups are live!* *Many spots are still available and we want to encourage all senior parents to participate. Please sign up by February 1!* The traditional Senior Celebration is an evening for seniors, put on by and featuring parents of seniors. The event includes a reception followed by a variety show in which parents aim to both delight and embarrass the kids. It's up to all of us to plan this beloved evening for parents and seniors. We want all senior parents to participate. There are opportunities to participate from planning the invitations to organizing the food and decorations to creating elements of the show itself. *All skill sets are needed,* and we encourage all of you to get involved! Don't miss the opportunity to help make this an awesome, fun and memorable celebration for the entire class of 2019! The joy of this event comes in all class parents working together as a team on everything from swag to skit writing and performing. It's an opportunity to work together with friends and make new friends before our children graduate. And traditionally, at some point, *all the parents take the stage**! *Please click on this link to Sign-Up Genius to volunteer https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0F4FA8AA28A57-sfssenior The "don't miss" Senior Celebration will take place on Saturday, June 1, from 6–9 p.m., at the Kogod Arts Center. The evening begins with a reception, followed by parent performances. We need your help for all parts of the event. Please sign up to be part of this special Sidwell tradition. Feel free to sign up for multiple roles. We especially encourage all parents to participate on the creative team. A creative planning meeting for those signed up to be on this team will be held in a few weeks where more specific tasks will be divided up.
