U.S.: Hedge-fund manager Bill Ackman calls Herbalife a pyramid scheme. "Herbalife is staging its own show Jan. 10, telling investors that Ackman doesn't know what he's talking about." The real question, however, is why the Federal Trade Commission "for three decades has punted on regulating" multilevel marketers such as Herbalife.
