The White House said on Friday that President Donald Trump will make remarks at 1:30 p.m. in the Rose Garden regarding the partial government shutdown.

Multiple sources say the White House and Congress are considering a short-term spending bill that would temporarily reopen the government and give negotiators time to work out a larger immigration and border security deal.
