The Senate decisively voted down the Republican proposal to repeal and replace Obamacare, a bill that has been under development in the Senate for two months but was set aside last week when it became clear there wouldn't be 50 GOP votes.

Nine Republicans - a handful of conservatives and moderates - joined Democrats to oppose the procedural measure on the bill Tuesday evening. The vote is one of what is expected to be several amendments in the Obamacare repeal effort.
