-- THE EMAILS FROM ROB GOLDSTONE to DONALD TRUMP JR. that the "crown prosecutor of Russia ... offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father. This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump -- helped by Aras and Emin." TRUMP said if the information is how it's described by Goldstone, Trump "love it, especially later in the summer."

-- THEY THEN set up a meeting with a "Russian government attorney" with Paul Manafort, Donald Trump Jr. and Jared Kushner.

THE TIMING is probably not coincidental. CONSIDER HOW MUCH THIS STORY DEVELOPED -- TRUMP JR. initially said this was a meeting about Russian adoptions. But within a few days, he admitted he was knowingly meeting with a Russian government emissary to get dirt on Hillary Clinton.

STATEMENT FROM PENCE PRESS SECRETARY MARC LOTTER, per NBC's Kasie Hunt: "He was not aware of the meeting. He is also not focused on stories about the campaign -- especially those pertaining to the time before he joined the campaign."
