Last week, we were reminded that elections have consequences. If the Republicans had one more vote - just one - the Affordable Care Act would be gone today.

But they failed. They failed because in 2016 Nevadans didn't elect a Republican rubber stamp for Trump - we elected Catherine Cortez Masto.

Last year Nevada rejected Trump's agenda, and Democrats won up and down the ballot. We need to do it again in 2018 by electing Jacky Rosen.

Jacky is facing one heck of a fight. New polls show a deadlocked race with Sen. Dean Heller (yes, the same guy who Trump bullied into supporting ACA repeal).

Today I'm asking you, personally, to donate to Jacky's campaign. Will you give $5 or more to help Jacky hit her goal before the month is out?

Passing the Affordable Care Act was one of the toughest challenges of my career in the Senate - but we got it done. Since then, Nevada has expanded Medicaid, anyone with a pre-existing condition can now get coverage, and 20 million more Americans have access to health care.

It's hard for me to be on the sidelines and watch Republicans in Congress come so close to dismantling health care. Now more than ever, I know we need to pick up this Senate seat and elect a leader who's on the side of Nevada's working families.

Jacky is smart and she's tough. She's motivated by serving her community to make a difference. And we need to do everything we can to help Jacky win this race, and that begins with helping her finish July with strong grassroots support.
