Wine with the Italian Ambassador
Wine Tasting at the Italian Ambassador’s Residence
SFS has been given a unique opportunity to auction off something very special. Ambassador Giulio Terzi di Sant'Agata and Antonella Cinque invite you and fourteen friends to join him in his home for an Italian wine tasting. Terzi assumed his duties as Ambassador of Italy to the United States on October 1st, 2009. The wine tasting will take place at the Ambassadors home—“Villa Firenze”. Set on 22 secluded acres near Cleveland Park, the magnificent home has witnessed a steady stream of cultural, diplomatic and political activity over the years. But recently, Villa Firenze has been infused with a fresh and glamorous new look. The home is considered one of the most exquisite homes in DC. The venue, the conversation and the wine will be fabulous! This is one spectacular event you won't want to miss. The available dates for the event are October 5, 6, 26 or 27th. Please email the Events for Student Scholarships office at events@sidwell.edu or call 202-537-8110 with the amount you are willing to bid on this item. The minimum bid is $1,000. The Next to New Sale will be back October 21-23
Please save your donations for the Next to New Sale (Sidwell’s own second-hand sale that raises money for financial aid). Some key things to know for next year’s sale:
1). Due to the renovations in Kogod, we are losing part of our NTN sale space and therefore we will not be accepting any books or AV equipment, including tv’s, radios, dvd players, computers, printers, cameras, etc.
2). The first collection date will be September 8, 2010.
3). We need boxes; please donate any moving boxes. We are happy to take them this summer.
4). Volunteers-we are looking for volunteers to help sort, price and work the sale. It is a great way to meet other SFS parents and you get to enjoy the perks of being on campus, including eating lunch in the cafeteria!
