Hundreds of immigrant children who traveled to our southern border have no idea where their parents are or if they'll ever see them again. The Trump administration has had four months to fix this humanitarian crisis it created. Families are still separated.

This election has got to be about something. Fighting for something, getting out in front, sticking your neck out for what really matters. I'm in this because I want to make CA better for people who need healthcare, people who are striving to give their kids a better life, people who just want to control their own bodies. And the idea that we could come out the other side of this election with a Trump-endorsed governor who sat by and watched as this administration paraded one indignity after the other right in front of his face... it's unfathomable.

I'm proud CA has drawn a line in the sand, and we're not afraid to sue when the Trump administration crosses it, like we did when he failed to reunite these families or when he tried to drill for oil off our coast. But rejecting this much bigotry is not a one-time job. We need to make sure that after Election Day, CA is still led by somebody who's willing to take on the danger this administration poses.

Now's when we stand up and fight for a future where our leaders don't just glad-hand with the powerful - they hold them accountable. I'm ready to do that, just like I've done it before.
