Hi Hunter, thanks for the call today. As I mentioned, two possible ideas:
1. The JRBF makes a grant to the BBF for the development of our Child Sexual Abuse prevention app and video content for strategic planning and development. That could cover a portion of my salary as I devote a significant amount of time to this project. The grant funds would not count toward our 990 salary/bonus line item, since they’re funds being spent to execute a grant.
2. I draw a portion of my salary from the Delaware Community Foundation fund. As of 7/20/17, we have $1,167,594 in that account. This could either be as a straight salary draw, or as part of a grant (similar to the JRBF idea above).
For what it’s worth, I’d also love to do some fundraising work for the Biden Cancer Initiative. I’m not sure how they’re structured or what they’re looking to raise, but I think the ability to raise corporate money for that entity is pretty much boundless. Assuming they’re able to take corporate money. The problem there, however, would be that I would be spending less time on BBF matters.
