I think it best if we communicate, for now, through email. I think that is less tense than texting.

A few things:

I understand you are in a tight situation with money. I’m willing to do what I can with your outstanding debt as you get yourself settled. I am also in a tight situation while I adjust to a lower monthly cost of living. I don’t want to nit pick what each other is spending - I know you are doing your best and I hope you know that I am as well. Maybe we can revisit where we stand regarding outstanding bills, etc, in September. Would be helpful if you could tell me when the payments would be made or how you plan on paying them. If you are saying you aren’t going to pay them, then please say that. I’m trying to make payments to the lawyers and my parents for the time being. I understand we didn’t include that in the settlement but you told my mother and me that you would cover both the legal bills and the loan from my parents. But again, we can wait until things settle down a bit. I’m still trying to get a handle on my cost of living, insurance, taxes, etc. It looks like I will need to withhold about 16-17,000 a month for taxes and I don’t want to mess that up.

I’m up to my eyeballs in packing. The place we are moving into is pretty small and doesn’t have storage or a garage so we are trying to see what will fit. If you could let me know what you want, that would be helpful. I’m attaching pictures of things that are definitely yours. You are welcome to take anything else you would like. There are a ton of books and I’ll have some boxes for you but you may want to bring some more boxes as well. I packed up more of your grandparents’ china. I sent a lot already but we had a few different patterns. I’ve packed up everything that came from your family for you to take. I hope I haven’t left anything out.

I packed up framed pictures for you and left boxes of the rest of pictures and albums in the attic. You can take whatever you would like. If you don’t want to go through pictures right now, we can do it later, just let me know. We don’t have any storage so I was going to take it to the lake for the time being.

My mom is here helping me pack and she wrapped all of the art work. Take anything you want. If there are pieces you don’t want to unwrap, I can take pics when we move and you can let me know what you want.

Honestly, there is nothing I am overly attached to so if there is a piece of furniture you want, you can take it.I think that is it for now.
