Dear 4X Parents:

The 4x class and teachers are honored to be invited to attend the
welcoming ceremony for Chinese President, Hu Jintao’s official state
visit to the White House on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011. In order to
manage traffic and security checks, we will need to leave SFS lower
school by school bus at 6:30 am to be in time for the ceremony. The
ceremony officially starts at 9 am but the White House has asked us to
arrive by 7:30 am. The ceremony will last for approximately one hour
and we will return to school later that morning. The ceremony will
take place outside so students will need to dress warmly and
comfortably. We plan to bring breakfast snacks for them to enjoy on
the bus. Details to follow.

We need your help. In order for your child to attend, important
information is needed by tomorrow. Please fill out the form that is
attached to the letter your child will bring home today so that it can
be returned by tomorrow. We must submit all the forms by Friday and
there can be no exceptions. If you expect your child will be unable to
attend this event please let us know by tomorrow as well so we can
make substitute teacher arrangements for school that morning.
