Dear 4X Parents, Welcome Back. Happy 2011! We hope you had a restful break and that everyone is back into the swing of school. Thanks to everyone for the quick turnaround on the paperwork needed for the Jan 19th event. Please be sure to check your email next weekend for last minute trip details and trip news. For the upcoming week, please see below. TUESDAY MORNING MEETING FOR WORSHIP Please join your child on January 11 at 1:30 PM for an all-school Meeting for Worship in the gym to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. WEDNESDAY MORNING MATH Wednesday Morning Math will return after its holiday break on Wednesday, January 12. Community Service Days Are Coming The Community Service Committee will be looking for parent volunteers to help with the community service projects on the parent-teacher conference days, March 1st (K and 1st grade) and March 3rd (2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades). If you are interested in volunteering, please mark your calendar. Family Casserole Bake to Benefit Bethesda Cares Over the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend (January 15-18), gather your family for a community service project in your own kitchen! Please bake a casserole to help feed the folks at Bethesda Cares on snow days when Montgomery County is unable to provide its regular lunch service. Store-bought frozen casseroles are also appreciated. Drop off the frozen casserole with your child (in the carpool drop-off line) on Wednesday, January 19th or Thursday, January 20th. See the Thursday Letter for more information. Have a great week! Estee and Peg
