DON'T MISS ArtRageous 2011!
Join the Sidwell Friends School Community on Sunday, Jan 30, from 1-4 pm in the beautiful Middle School to celebrate the ARTS. Come and create your own IMPRESSIONS of ArtRageous 2011 - Blue Prints - as we celebrate our inspiring new architectural spaces of learning and doing. Design, build, and EAT a house; revel in an ice dance; enjoy our new club performance atmosphere as Sidwell students of all ages offer musical and theatrical "blues"; paint a collaboratively imagined mural; let your jaw drop at the multiple awesome visual art shows. . . This year's arts explosion offers you an array of opportunities to work with professional artists, AND the grand finale is a really terrific surprise.
Clue #1 - some of your very favorite Sidwell Friends School administrators and faculty will soar before your eyes and ears!
ArtRageous Needs Volunteers!
Friends, Parents, Patrons, lend us your love of all things Art! ArtRageous (Sunday, Jan 30 from 1-4) promises to bring out the artist or art lover in you if you'll help us bring out the RAGE in ART! This SCHOOL-WIDE day of COMMUNITY and ART is fabulously fun, and it CANNOT happen without YOU! We are excited by a new venue this year - the beautiful Middle School - and it's going to be exhilarating to celebrate the arts in ways old and NEW in the cool Black Box Theatre, the professionally designed Art Studios, the inspiring Instrumental and Choral Classrooms - BUT WE NEED YOU. Set up (morning), Clean up (4-5:30), Assisting Art Stops and other events (1-4) - we've got a place only YOUR SHOES will dance in! To reserve your place in making this happen, please contact Sarah Blake at sblakie@aol.com, and THANK YOU!
Parents, PLEASE pass this along to your gifted children!
ArtRageous is coming! CALLING ALL PERFORMERS! We still have time and space for you to perform, so please send your information to: maude.fish@comcast.net. Let her know the piece you will perform, the composer/author/choreographer, what grade you are in, your contact info, and if you need an accompanist, or back-up equipment. Maude Fish will get back to you. ArtRageous provides a GREAT performance opportunity for Sidwellians of all ages and talents, so seize the day, and GO FOR IT!

Students who would like to help out on January 17th to assemble the toiletry bags may sign up at: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/11th3
