Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you there. *** BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION Norman L. Eisen was appointed the new Ambassador of the United States to the Czech Republic in December 2010. Prior to this role, he served as Special Assistant and Special Counsel to President Barack Obama for Ethics and Government Reform from 2009 to 2010. In this capacity, he helped lead the Administration's initiatives on government ethics, lobbying regulation, open government, financial regulatory reform, and other issues. Ambassador Eisen also served as the Deputy General Counsel to the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition Team from 2008 to 2009. Prior to joining the Obama Administration, Ambassador Eisen was a Partner at the Washington, D.C., law firm of Zuckerman Spaeder, LLP, where he worked from 1991 to 2008. During his time at the firm, he founded their Public Client Practice, representing government entities in a wide array of legal matters. In 2003, Ambassador Eisen established Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a government watchdog group dedicated to promoting ethics and accountability in government and public life. From 1985 to 1988, he served as an Assistant Director at the Los Angeles office of the Anti-Defamation League, a national civil rights organization. Ambassador Eisen earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in 1985.
