Dear 4X Parents,

Merry and Pam asked us to pass along the following:

We wanted to share with you how great the 4x students were during our
trip to the White House yesterday.
All our students were at LS on time , dressed up and excited. Although
we had to wait and it was cold, our students were calm, patient and
focused. Then at 9:00 am the sun burst through the clouds and the
ceremony began. Several students got to shake Premier Hu’s hand and
the President gave 4x a warm personal welcome.
A huge thank you is in order to our wonderful Chinese language
teacher, Edith Zhang, who helped our students deliver a special
greeting in Chinese. The 4x class did their parents, their teachers ,
Sidwell, and their country proud! Thanks again parents for helping us
pull off this event.

State Visit Arrival Ceremony. They are each about 30 minutes long --
on the whitehouse.gov video, our class shows up about 8 1/2 minutes
in. On the c-span video they are closer to 9 1/2 minutes in....the
angle is slightly different in the two videos.
