You are right - I was the sixth and last team in the playoffs and I ended up winning. Makes no sense - but I have no problem winning and feel I deserved it. What is screwy is the rest of it - seeds 1 and 2 are guaranteed to be in the "3rd place game" because of the bye and you got screwed as the highest seeded non-bye team. My other Yahoo league has eight of the 12 teams make the playoffs (and two divisions). I like that better because there is more benefit to being seeded high if you play a crappier team in the first round. You still would have played me under that scenario but you also would have had the opportunity to finish third (which is where you finished the regular season). You should have the opportunity to finish no worse than your seeding. Also think Mike should have set it up to include return yards for players instead of them going to the Defense. Eric D. I assume top four or six teams go to play off. If the two teams ahead of me got a buy that means that the week I lost to you there would be at most two match ups and then next week the two losers would play for third and two winners for championship. What Mike did was put everyone into a playoff pool single elimination allowing for teams who had no business being in playoffs to move ahead of me. R. And you actually had the third best record. So you didn't get one of the two byes and had to play in the first round. Since you lost in the first round you go into a one round consolation game. Mike actually set it up weird - my league has no playoff byes so people who lose then go into a consolation bracket that lasts two weeks not one. It is better that way. Byes are silly - why wouldn't you want to play the first week - it isn't like you need to rest your team. > > > > Eric D.
