Mr. Biden, Thank you for the questionnaire. I look forward to meeting with you this afternoon. Cory -----Original Message----- From: hbiden@rosemontseneca.com [mailto:hbiden@rosemontseneca.com] Sent: Wednesday, April 20, 2016 11:12 PM To: Cory Zimmerman Subject: Questionnaire re Finnegan Please review- Let me know if I should change anything and add anything you think i missed. 1. Intuitive, empathetic, confident. 2. Finnegan is, first and foremost,t caring and thoughtful of those around her. She is interested and inserting, engaged in the world around her, a loyal friend, and amazing sister, daughter, cousin and grandughter. She loves to talk about politics and policy and its implications for the community she lives in and the its broader meaning to the future of the country, and her generation. She has insights and wisdom that most adults I know do not have. She also has the best sense of humor of anyone I know. She is quick to laugh and quick to make us all laugh. She is also very sensitive to to the needs of the people she loves most, but also to mere acquaintances. 3. I don’t know if I would describe any single event as a turning point in Finnegan’s life. Turning point from what? I see her development as natural arc from the child she was to the young woman she is now. The consistency of her personality and character have always been present. She has has always known herself and her strengths, and has never been afraid to take on a challenge she may have viewed as a weakness. The only time I remeber being upset about me pushing her to challenge herself was when we were climbing the side of a steep mountain, and she made it clear to me that the view wasn’t worth the anxiety of the climb. Finnegan is very direct in that way. 4. Sidwell has been challenging, but never so much that it brought Finnegan down. She focuses and does what she needs to do and I think she is perfectly comfortable with the feedback she has received. Most important to me is that Finn has remained confident in herself in an environment that can often be difficult for kids to maintain their confidence. Finnegan knows she is smart and knows what she excels at. And she seems to have maintained a pretty clear eyed perspective in a high pressure atmosphere. I feel like Finnegan has the confidence and self knowledge to know she is capable of great things despite an occasional poor grade or lack of accolades from her teachers more foccused on memorization skills then on original thinking. 5. She is going to be succesful no matter where she goes to college, and her happiness and confidence in herself is more important to us then her resume. 6. I know Finnegan could attend any college in the country and get from it exactly what she needs. Where that may be is completely up to her. 7,8,9,10— I think have all been answered above.
