Robert, When women aren't paid their fair share, the effects are far-reaching. Short a few dimes on each dollar, it adds up quickly over a lifetime and can put a woman's retirement security in jeopardy. Two out of three women are their family's sole or equal bread winner. Short-changing women on the value of their work means putting entire families in jeopardy. It's not 1950, it's 2016. We need to allow families to be able to lift themselves up out of poverty and plan for their future and senior years. This will only happen when equal pay for equal work is a reality. http://www.signforgood.com/79cents/?code=Lee This issue impacts women and families of all sizes and stripes and it shouldn't become a volleyball in the partisan games. But that is exactly what Rep. Cresent Hardy has done. He has voted with his Party leadership and against measures to help women claim their fair share, does not believe that there should be any minimum wage, let alone increasing it, and is against paid sick leave. Essentially, he is fine with continuing to leave women behind. I'm not. It was in our lifetime that President Kennedy signed the first equal pay law – banning employers from discriminating among their male and female employees. In the 50 years since, we've made incremental change but imagine what we can do for our children in their lifetime. http://www.signforgood.com/79cents/?code=Lee On behalf of my daughter, and all the daughters of Nevada, I’m pledging to fight to end gender discrimination in pay. Won't you join me? It's about time. Thanks for always being there, Susie ------------------------------------------ | Paid for by Susie Lee for Nevada | ------------------------------------------ Susie Lee for Nevada 1930 Village Center Drive, Suite 229 Las Vegas NV 89134 United States If you believe you received this message in error or wish to no longer receive email from us, please https://act.myngp.com/el/408872802324645888/-6390617097954588672
