Hello Junior Parents,</p>

This week in college workshop class, we discussed the <span style="background-color:#ffff00;">upcoming college fair</span> (see attached), and general reflections from any spring break visits (we did not discuss specific colleges). Within our discussion we talked about how to prepare for the fair, good questions to ask (as well as what NOT to ask) and what is helpful/not helpful to do on campus visits, etc.</p>

Next week in workshop, we will discuss a variety of topics including: interviewing, the college search/application calendar, building a college list, etc. We invited the students to set the agenda for this workshop so we are addressing their questions and their topics of choice. </p>

At this point in the year juniors should have completed two college counseling assignments:</p>

1. The Vital Qualities worksheet. This exercise will result in a list of the 5 vital qualities they are seeking in a college.</div>

2. Two College Board college searches. Juniors were asked to print out the results and return these lists to their college counselor. College counselors can then continue the discussion of building a thoughtful college list taking into account the results that were generated.</div>

Lastly, we do want to remind you of the upcoming <span style="background-color:#ffff00;">junior parent morning conversation</span> which is an informal Q&A with college admissions officers. The morning conversation will take place on Wednesday, April 13 at 8am in the RLS Meeting Room.</div>
