You don't call, you don't write. What happened to you? You never called Amb. McKinley in Colombia and you didn't show up at my swearing-in. Did you fracture a limb? Family's doing great in Quito so far. We arrived last week, and it's been a media blitz. I've already been misquoted in the press, and I inadvertently told a radio station this a.m. that the U.S. has provided $1.7 quadrillion in assistance over the last 50 years. Meant to say billion. The kids are loving it. I'm loving it. We have our 50th Anniversary celebration tonight, so I'll give my first big public speech. I'm having lunch with Gabriel Zinny's buddy next week. His organization is a USAID recipient, but they're also fairly controversial with the government. You missed a good swearing-in event. I guess you'll have to wait for me to be Ambassador.
