Parkside Inn restricts the use of all facilities to include only registered guests. A person who negligently or intentionally causes damage to the hotel or any furniture or furnishings within the hotel, shall be liable for damages sustained by the hotel and/or staff, including the hotel's loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent or lease rooms while the damage is being repaired. <br/><br/>EARLY CHECK IN & LATE CHECK OUT requests for early check-in & late check-out will be handled based on hotel availability at the time of check-in (an additional fee is payable for guaranteed late noon check-out). Should you need to confirm an earlier arrival than the hotel's standard check-in time or a departure later than 11am, please contact the hotel directly in advance. Parkside Inn can accommodate guest luggage after 11am on arrival day in a secure location until your room is ready. Exceeding check-out time without notifying the front desk in advance can result in extra charges, including, but not limited to an extra night's charges being applied to your bill.<br/><br/>CANCELLATIONS:<br/>We require four (4) days notice to cancel a room reservation and receive a refund. Because we are a boutique property, it is very difficult to re-book our rooms for last minute cancellations. If you cancel with less than 4 days notice, payment in full is required and will be enforced. A mandatory $35 processing fee will be charged for any cancellation.<br/> <br/>EARLY DEPARTURE POLICY: - All departures prior to date agreed at time of check-in will be subject to full room and tax charges of original departure date.<br/><br/>PAYMENT POLICY - A deposit equaling the first night room charge and tax is charged upon booking. Spa packages are typically charged a 50% deposit upon booking. If guest is paying cash, a deposit equal to the room, tax plus $30 per day towards incidentals will be collected at check-in. <br/><br/>GUARANTEE POLICY - A valid credit card guarantee, deposit or pre-payment is required at the time of booking. <br/><br/>Credit/Debit Card Policy - Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges. <br/><br/>PARKING is available on the street in front of the Inn and there are 4 spaces between the buildings for overnight guests. Additionally, there is paid parking on the south end of the park ($2 for 24 hours).<br/>Please note: it is 2 hour parking on the street weekdays from 8am - 6pm (10pm Starting in October) and it is strictly enforced by the City parking patrol. The Inn at Parkside is not in any way responsible for any parking violations that you may incur.<br/> <br/>ALCOHOL POLICY - Alcoholic beverage consumption of any kind is restricted to those 21 years or older with valid identification.<br/><br/>LOST & FOUND - Parkside Inn is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items. Should any guests lose personal belongings whilst staying at Parkside Inn, if recovered, the item will be recorded as 'found' and will be placed in our Lost & Found. We will make a reasonable effort to contact the guest if an item is left in the hotel's guest room and will ship items back at the owner's expense plus a $20 processing fee. Any items in the Lost & Found not claimed within sixty (60) days will be donated to a local charity or discarded.<br/><br/>>> ROOM CAPACITY IS 2, REGISTERED GUESTS ONLY - Parkside Inn has a 2 person limit for who may occupy a particular guest room in the hotel and only allow registered guests to use its facilities. A $200 charge per each additional person over two will be automatically applied to the invoice. Failure to otherwise comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.<br/><br/>>> MINORS - Where a minor is accompanied by an adult, we require the adult to agree, in writing, not to leave any minor 12 years of age or younger unattended at any time during their stay, and to control the minor's behavior during their stay so as to preserve the peace and quiet of our other guests and to prevent any injury to any person and damage to any property. (Civil Code Section 1865(d).) Refusal to sign such an agreement is grounds for refusing accommodations, and any failure to otherwise comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.<br/> <br/>>> PETS - Due to guest pet dander allergy concerns and the threat of ticks and fleas, Parkside Inn does not allow any pets (including companion pets) other than service dogs accompanying guests requiring them.<br/><br/>>> SMOKING - We do not permit smoking, scented candle or incense burning in any of our guest rooms or balconies. The Inn is a totally non-smoking facility which we enforce for the safety and comfort of our guests, as well as maintaining the integrity of this historic building – and state law. Guests who smoke in their room or balconies, or who allow this by others in their room will be charged a minimum of $150 up to $500 deodorizing and cleaning fee.
