As I mentioned previously, that mine alone is so small I am not sure by itself it would be attractive for an investor. Thus, I reached out to the owner of the mine to gather more information. Here is what I learned. > > The owner was originally a cattleman in Zimbabwe who lost all his farmland in the land reform approximately 15 years ago. After he lost his land he purchased the gold mine as the government allowed him to own and operate a gold mine. He has been mining the property for approximately 15 years and has made a decent living but never able to really exploit the opportunity in the are due to financial difficulties caused by a sick family member. He says within a 6km radius there are many small claims (in the marvel mining district) that can be bought and assemble to creat a single mine with a central milling facility. He believes that based on his experience and some test holes such a mine should produce in excess of a million ounces. This, of course, would need to be validated by further sampling. > > The owner would like to stay if an investor was interested in such a project as he says he has great relations with the local community and provides the local community water and a means of was local miners ore. He said he knows the right geologists and managers to employ and has successfully worked with the ministry of mines for years. > > He believes with the new government and their encouraging outside investment and the elimination of the law that required a local partner makes this area attractive for investment particularly from Chinese investors. We are out ahead of the pack on this one and if the reserves can be validated may provide a unique opportunity. > > Let me know your thoughts. > > Bill >=2
