Good morning Board Members:

Our quarterly board meeting will be held on October 30, 2018 at noon. The
meeting will be held at our office at Delaware Law School. I will send the
agenda for the meeting on Friday October 19, 2018. Please let me know if
you’d like anything added.

After our regular meeting those who can stay will continue the meeting, and
begin the process of strategic planning. I anticipate that session, led by
a facilitator specializing in strategic planning for nonprofits, will take
2-3 hours.

As we become a national nonprofit it is critical that we have a strategic
plan. We have grown to 6 employees and hope to add 4-5 more employees in
the first quarter of 2019. The board participation in this growth was is
vital, your participation is essential in this process.
I anticipate we will meet with the planners again in January/February 2019
to finalize the plan.

I am heading out to Memphis today for the Darkness to Light Board meeting.
