Yesterday, voters made themselves heard loud and clear: They're ready to fight back against the politics of divisiveness and take a stand for new leadership to put people over politics and bring our country forward.

Voters in Virginia rejected divisive campaigns and elected Ralph Northam as Governor. And service-driven leaders like Jennifer Carroll Foy, Kathy Tran, and John Bell helped Democrats pick up at least 14 seats in the VA legislature. In Washington, voters tipped the balance of the State Senate in favor of a progressive agenda rather than more partisan gridlock.

In New Jersey, voters elected Phil Murphy and flipped the Governor's house blue.

And here in Massachusetts, I'm proud to announce Kim Driscoll, Donna Holaday, and Tom McGee won elections to continue serving our communities.

This was an important milestone, but we have to continue looking to the future.
