Community Service Fellowships: Nonprofits Wanted!

Do you know of a NYC nonprofit that could use a community-minded Yalie for the summer? If so, the Club continues its tradition of sponsoring stipends and housing for community service fellows, Yale undergraduates who spend the summer interning at local organizations. The application to serve as a host organization for our fellows is linked and due on December 4th. All NYC nonprofits are welcome to apply.

Annual Gift Drive Begins Today!

Stop by the tree in the Main Lounge or the tree on the Fifth floor starting on Monday, November 27th to pick up an ornament with a Christmas wish from a child. Starting today, you also can use our Amazon wish list to purchase a gift online and have it sent directly to the Club. Please make sure you drop off your unwrapped gift at the coat check in the Lobby or have it delivered no later than December 11.

If you are unable to pick up an ornament and still would like to participate, or if you have any further questions, please email jchen@yaleclubnyc.org.

Evening at the NYBG Holiday Train Show

Celebrate the holiday season with a New York classic. On these nights exclusively for adults 21 and over, the wintry landscape of NYBG sets the scene for festive outdoor adventures, with an after-dark viewing of the Holiday Train Show as the centerpiece. Grab a drink from one of the NYBG’s seasonal bars and then set out to explore the night’s offerings. Relax around the all-new Visitor Center Fire Pit, sing along to your favorite tunes with dueling pianos in the Pine Tree Café, or follow the illuminated Music Box Dancers as they guide you through the Garden.

Tickets are available for $40 per person. Transportation is not included, but the NY Botanical Gardens are easily accessible via Metro North. All sales final.

Bring your little ones to The Yale Club to celebrate the season of miracles. Cookie decorating and holiday pageantry will make for a day your child won’t soon forget. There will be cocoa and light snacks at 11:00 am and a holiday puppet show at 11:30 am, followed by a brunch buffet in the Tap Room at noon. Rumor has it that Santa will also be stopping by, and will gladly pose for photos with your little ones!

The party and lunch package is $45 for adults and $20 for children.
