Good afternoon. It has been a little over two weeks since we had our 4th annual Great Prostate Cancer Challenge event. Our fourth was our best yet! I wanted to wait until we had final totals before sending this email to you. We had 1,400 runners and walkers; over 3,000 people attended, and as of yesterday raised over $230,000. That is by far the best we have ever done. This money allows us to continue to fund prostate cancer research and to expand the cancer screening program. This year Chesapeake Urology, with the support of ZERO, CareFirst, Radio-One and WJZ-TV has provided much needed screening programs to the Baltimore Metropolitan area. In the 3 years that we have provided this service we have screened over 3,500 men and saved many lives. We all should take pride in that! The GPCC is taking place in 14 cities in 2010 and we have commitments to have the event in over 20 cities next year. The GPCC is fast becoming the premier men's health event in the country. I want to thank all of you who supported, attended and contributed to our event and hope you will join us next year. The date for the 2011 GPCC is Sunday, September 25. Remember, 220,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2010 and 28,000 men will die from the disease. We MUST continue to fight and I promise you we will do that. If you would still like to contribute you may do so at http://www.active.com/donate/gpccbaltimore10 Sincerely, Sanford Siegel -- Sanford J.
