"ANGLE: LEAVE THE INSURANCE COMPANIES ALONE"

Dear Robert H,

It happens so often, we should call it "pulling an Angle": Tea Party radical Sharron Angle denies saying something wild and dangerous even though it's on tape.

She's pulled an Angle on getting rid of Social Security, pulled an Angle on privatizing the VA, even pulled an Angle on bringing up the prospect of armed revolt if she doesn't win in November. I've been in politics a long time, and I've never seen anything quite like it.

But every once in a while, she actually doubles down on her extreme rhetoric. Take Thursday night's debate, for example. The moderator asked what medical treatments or exams health insurance companies should be required to cover. Sharron Angle couldn't come up with anything.

Mammograms? Colon cancer tests? Autism? Nope. Sharron Angle wants us to leave those poor insurance companies alone.

We know what side she's on--and we know what side Harry Reid is on: the side of middle class families. Now it's time for us to take sides. Please click below and make a contribution to Harry Reid's campaign to help expose Sharron Angle's radical agenda!

Take a look at the ad the Reid campaign put together just hours after the debate. It's right there in full color. As Washington Monthly reports: "Angle believes what really matters is the government leaving insurance companies alone, no matter what the effects are on the public; Reid believes what really matters is protecting Americans from insurers' excesses and guaranteeing a standard of care."

But here's the catch. When you raise $14 million like Sharron Angle has from her right-wing buddies, you can buy lots of TV ads drowning out that message. I've seen too many Republicans wiggle off the hook by confusing voters with a lot of noise and false attacks.

Don't let her do it. Fight back by making a contribution to Harry Reid today, so Nevadans can see ads like these and learn about what a dangerous radical Sharron Angle really is.
