Lake Tahoe, the jewel of the Sierras, wasn't always as clear as it is today. It took leadership to clean up the lake and restore its abundant wildlife. It took Harry Reid.

Senator Reid has fought to protect and preserve this beautiful treasure for more than two decades, focusing Washington's attention on the need to fund restoration and cleanup projects and building the coalition needed to get the job done. And even as more and more people flock to this magnificent public space, Senator Reid is still fighting to keep it intact for future generations.

I don't know how anyone can enjoy a hike in Red Rock Canyon and not commit to protecting Nevada's environment. I don't know how anyone can know about emerging wind and solar technologies and not want to fight to help Nevada harness their economic potential.

But Senator Reid's opponent calls renewable energy "designer energy." She says she won't lift a finger to help bring these good-paying jobs to Nevada. And with her wild rhetoric and extremist ideology, how could she ever bring people together to get results for Nevada the way Harry Reid can and has?
