Dear R.hunter,

It's hard to believe that tomorrow is Election Day and that
the months of hard work are finally going to pay off – or not.

That's up to you now.

People on the campaign trail ask me all the time about the
polling and whether I think we're going to win. I always tell
them the truth: that's up to you. Polls may indicate voters'
preferences at the time but are totally irrelevant on
Election Day.

What matters is whether people like you come out to vote.

I've spent months talking about why I would like to serve as
Delaware's next Senator, and I am confident voters will see
a clear difference between my opponent and me – in our
values, in our experience and in our approach.

Delaware needs and deserves a Senator who has hands-on
experience solving problems and tackling the challenges
facing Americans today. They deserve a Senator with
real-world experience in the private sector and leading a
government.

Perhaps most of all, they deserve a Senator with thoughtful
ideas for fixing the economy and helping small businesses
create jobs.

Ideas matter far more than ideology to folks who are
struggling to put food on their table, wondering how they'll
survive after losing their health insurance, or are worrying
how they'll pay for their son or daughter's college tuition.

That's why I'm so proud of our campaign.

I'm proud that we were able to stay focused on the needs of
Delawareans and ways to tackle our toughest challenges.

I'm proud of the thousands of supporters who believed in our
message and gave their time and talents to help deliver that
message to others.

I'm proud of the thousands of folks who contributed what
they could to make sure we had the resources to campaign in
every community in our state.

I'm proud of my family, who despite the strain and burden
placed upon them by this campaign, have stayed incredibly
positive and supportive.

No matter what happens tomorrow, today I want to say thank
you – to all of you. Your support has humbled me in a way I
can't possibly articulate, but in a way that will serve as a
constant reminder of the expectation Delaware places on
those whom it entrusts to lead.

I hope I've earned your vote, but more importantly, I hope
I've earned your respect.
