You have been chosen to be a participant in the Jamaica Library Project Service trip this summer! The trip will take place from Tuesday, June 9- Friday, June 19th. Please note that these dates are tentative, based on airline availability. With that in mind, please allow a three day window before and after these dates in case there is a shift in dates. As a chaperone team we look forward to sharing details of the trip with you as elements emerge. In the coming weeks, you will need to fill out a number of forms and respond to emails requesting various information. As a first step, please use the link below to register for the trip. Second, parents - if your child does not have a passport, now is the time to start that process. Student passports must not expire within three months of the return date of our trip (before September 19, 2015). Register: Please use this link https://thriva.activenetwork.com/Reg4/Form.aspx?IDTD=2461&RF=11209590 to complete the online registration by January 9th. The registration link will require you to complete necessary information, forms, indicate need for Financial Aid, and pay the $100 deposit. It’s easy: click on the link, select Jamaica Library Project- Service Trip and complete the online registration. Instructions are attached. The payment schedule is: January 9th- $100 deposit due. You can take care of full payment for the trip ($2,375) at the time of registration, but only the $100 deposit is required. Also, please provide Deanna Boyd (boydd@sidwell.edu<mailto:boydd@sidwell.edu>) with a copy of the passport for the student traveler (scan and email or deliver a copy in person). March 13th - 50% of remaining trip fees due. May 8th – Remaining balance due. Please let us know if you have any questions or have difficulty registering for the trip online. Again, we look forward to working on issues of literacy justice together with you this summer. Best, Deanna Boyd, Aaron Marine, Angela Smith Trip chaperones <Online Trip Registration Instructions.docx
