Hunter,
I hope you are off to a great start for 2015. Let's get together soon.
Sheryl and I have spent the last several weeks taking care of my mother in law who turned 92 last week. Long life and a great woman. She was the secretary to 7 consecutive secretaries of defense beginning with Melvin Laird. She passed away last night after a fight with an infection. She won all the highest honors of defense department civilian employees. She introduced me over the years to many of the highest decorated generals and admirals ever to serve our country. All were great people. Included were Colin Powell etc etc
She loved your Dad and was one of his biggest fans. His character and family focus always made her proud of him. He last spoke to her when we were all at his house for Beau's fundraiser. He called her from my phone. Every once in a while your Dad would leave her a message. She loved it. In his great style the message would say. " Hi Thelma this is Joe Biden, you know, the Vice President, remember me?" Of course she did and bragged about him often.
Anyway, I am not sure how to let your Dad know but pass along the news when you get a minute. Memorial service will be at Fort Meyer in Arlington sometime next month.

Hope to see you soon
Geoff
