It was a pleasure to meet you today. Thanks for taking the time during such a busy week.

I'm excited about the opportunity to link greater access to oncology care and therapeutics with the broader goal of Moonshot and accelerating oncology R&D. Obviously, we don't have enough life-saving therapies but we can make great progress by getting what we have now to patients in Africa. That will be a big step forward in the global fight against cancer.

The biotechnology industry will be critical to further the goals of the cancer Moonshot initiative. The BIO Convention is an excellent opportunity for Vice President Biden to lay out his vision for Moonshot and your broader goals. Companies want to be part of the solution and I think it would mean a lot if this message came directly from your father.

I look forward to moving this work forward and supporting your efforts.

Hunter and Eric,

It was a pleasure to meet with you this afternoon. I look forward to working with you to bring affordable cancer drugs to the planned oncology hospital in Cote d'Ivoire and to explore ways to provide access to biopharmaceutical products throughout the African continent

I also appreciate your interest in having the Vice President provide a keynote at BIO's International Convention in San Francisco on June 7th or 8th. This event will draw 15-16,000 C-level biotechnology leaders from across the US and from 65 other countries. This would be a perfect opportunity for the Vice President to talk about his Moonshot program to the key leaders who are in position to accelerate the development of innovative cancer therapeutics. It would begin a relationship that we could help sustain for years to come.

If the Vice President had the time and interest, we could also arrange a private meeting for him with CEOs of oncology companies on site as well.
