At the beginning of August, our dear friend Larry Kaplan embarked on an ambitious journey called the 50 in 30 Challenge to fight ALS. His goal was to travel to every single state in the country, including flying to Alaska and Hawaii, to do a unique bucket challenge in every state so that he could raise money and awareness for ALS patient care and research. Now an anonymous donor is pledging an additional $ 5,000 to match donations that come into www.50in30.org <https://www.alsphiladelphia.org/page.redir?target=http%3a%2f%2fwww.50in30.org&srcid=45266&srctid=1&erid=11992008&trid=607b3ae7-aa79-4270-90fb-ab1af5d264b0> in the next 48 hours.
The response to this challenge has been incredible. Larry has had television crews follow him from Delaware to Boston and then on to Louisville, Montana, New Mexico and everywhere in between. He has had salmon heads dumped on him in Alaska, blueberries in New Jersey, and barbeque sauce in West Virginia. As he makes a mess throughout the country, Larry has remained focused on his mission to help ALS families.

Larry continues to gain momentum. An anonymous donor has created a $ 5,000 matching challenge for the next 48 hours. This donor will match all donations that come in through www.50in30.org <https://www.alsphiladelphia.org/page.redir?target=http%3a%2f%2fwww.50in30.org&srcid=45266&srctid=1&erid=11992008&trid=607b3ae7-aa79-4270-90fb-ab1af5d264b0> up to $ 5,000 by the end of the day Saturday. Donate now to take advantage of this opportunity to support Larry’s mission and to fund ALS programs.
The final 50 in 30 Bucket Challenge will take place this Tuesday at 5:00 PM at XFINITY Live! in Philadelphia.
