Dear Hunter

Good evening and thanks for chairing the meeting yesterday. Very good
progress and it gives us all the continuing chance to honor and to sustain
Beau's life and work.

If you are able to do so and its one of the things Dad regularly likes to
do, could he kindly consider calling or sending a note to Army Air Corps
Jack Butler--one of our remaining WW 11 VETS who is a big fan of Dad's,
and a Patriot now on life's 'back nine.'

My thanks and understanding for any consideration.

Warm regards
Louie

Hi Louie - Lois Hejna's father, Jack Buckler, is dying of cancer at 91.
They discontinued treatment and now have hospice care at home. She wrote
to Joe Biden, Jack's hero, to see if he would sent him a note,
acknowledging his WW ll Army service.

Hi Lou - Jack was a corporal in the Army Air Corps from Mar 43 to Dec 45,
and served in the Philippines, Korea, New Guinea, and Australia. Thanks for
your efforts - I did not say anything to Lois. They did get him to West
Point in a wheelchair to see the museum.

If you're able, and willing, to get to Joe's office, and maybe effort a
note (call?) ASAP, that would mean a great deal to Jack and his wife
Estelle, also 90. They are great people.

I know you get many of these type requests, and I always hate to ask, but
thought I'd try for Lois. Between Silvia's illness and death, her Dad, and
Mark's back surgeries, they've been through a lot.

Thanks very much, Lou - xox
